About the game :
Equinöx was the project I worked on during my third year at ECV Lille.
We had 3 constraints on this project : it had to be a "Zelda-Like" project with a Third Person Shooter-style camera and a "Day-Night" theme.
Creating the Level :
In Equinöx, going from one room to the next automatically switches the cycle from day to night and vice-versa. This in turn impacts the player's capabilities and the layout of the rooms.
This was a major factor to take into account when working on the Level Design, since the path the player would take, his capabilites and his learning curve would be directly impacted by the Day/Night cycle.
What I learned :
This was my first project as a Programmer. Being in charge of the development of the features and mechanics helped me utilize them in the game to their full potential when I worked on the Level Design.
